DIVISION TRACHEOPHYTA or VASCULAR PLANTS
The vascuar plants, division Tracheophyta, are a diverse group that includes mosst modern day plants. Whisk ferns, club mosses and hosetail, as well as ferns, conifers, and flowering plants, are vascular plants. In the sporophyte generation, all tracheophytes contain the vascular tissues xylem and phloem. In the tracheophytes, the sporophyte generation is dominant and the gametophyte generation is small and short-lived.There are three subdivisions:
